I can’t recall writing a post that brought me as much pleasure as this one. Visitors may or may not know this but this website is a sibling of 308ar.com and it’s forum. My forum right hand man and good friend Rob Sotelo aka “Robocop 1051” had an idea a while back, actually a few ideas. Rob wanted to give shooters some hardware better than anything they had seen previously and he also had ideas for hardware shooters didn’t know they needed. So being the ingenious and motivated entrepreneur he is Rob grabbed the bull by the horns, found some additional smart folks, invested cash and Condition Red Ordnance Manufacturing aka CROM USA was born. That leads to the subject of this post, the CROM USA Ruger PC Carbine Chassis.

Designed from the ground up with more features and options than the competition, CROM USA has designed and manufactured the Best Ruger PC Carbine Chassis available today. CROM USA designed their Ruger PC Chassis with 50 state compliance in mind. Combine the chassis construction with some buyer ingenuity and a knowledge of local laws is all that is need to be compliant.
This chassis was designed to be compatible with the Mossberg 500/590 stock options (some fitting may be required). The ability to add a shotgun stock was desirable for many shooters, in particular those behind the lines of restricted states. If the Mossberg options aren’t suitable shooters may utilize any of the various AR stock adapters and outfit the PC Carbine with any of the thousands of stock and pistol grip combinations (know your state/local laws before assembling).
Constructed of lightweight aircraft grade billet aluminum the CROM Ruger PCC chassis should remain compatible with whatever front end you chose (they have their own coming out soon too) CROM also maintained the ability to swap between original Glock and Ruger magazine adapter inserts.

- Finish – Cerakote “Elite” color finish. Much stronger and more durable than anodizing.
- Magwell – Flared “tactical” magwell for faster and easier magazine exchanges… Not big enough? The Generation 2 chassis is compatible with some of the aftermarket “competition” magwell designs.
- Magazine Release – Extended magazine release for the trigger finger. Drop those mags faster and with less rifle manipulation. Due to the design of the rifle, we couldn’t make it a true “ambi” without completely resigning the rifle… So we made the chassis capable of switching to a left or right handed extended release!***Bonus points! Extending the magwell created the familiar real estate so many of us have enjoyed on AR type platforms. Get that close-up grip without having to grab your stick magazine.
- Ergonomics – Relieved contact points that reduce weight and allow more ergonomics to the chassis. The chassis design will feel smaller than the original polymer design,and make for more comfortable shooting for smaller shooters.
